the deal...

My mom came for a visit this past weekend. We made a deal. If I get to a goal weight and stay there for a year, she will buy me something worth about $5,000. Now, I do know what that "something" is, but it's personal and I'm not quite comfortable sharing it yet.

I joined Weight Watchers (again!) yesterday. After researching and mulling over many diet plans, I decided that Weight Watchers was the best for me, given the fact that it's the most flexible plan and that I've been so successful on it before. It's only been 24 hours, but so far so good!! I will have one challenge today: Going out for lunch. We are in the process of interviewing new director of annual giving candidates and our department has to go to lunch with someone today. I've gone online and found the menu. It's a Thai place so I'm going to stick with a broth-based soup and the steak salad. The dressing doesn't sound like it's too fattening. It's not what I'd like to eat for lunch, but I think it's the best thing on the menu.

As of this morning, I'm 2.5% finished.

Puppy?

We are officially searching for a puppy. We've been talking about it since we moved into the house and saw what a great backyard we have. Were going to go look at a little on Saturday! I wonder if we'll come home with a little bundle of joy...

Don't worry, I've been reading up a lot on how to introduce a puppy to a "cat home". Isis and Bastet will still feel all the love they're used to!

I'm still alive--just boring!

Thank you, Jason, for checking this site yesterday. Too bad you didn't have anything new to read!

Basically, I'm not pregnant. That's the next logical thing to blog about, right? I'm pretty sure that no one wants to read about how cute my cat is. I could be wrong on that, though, so please let me know if you would like to see pictures.

kudos to mom

The days are really flying by fast! I wish I could spend a little more of my time thinking about the wedding, but I've been too busy at work to think about anything else! Good thing I have the best mom in the world who is really coming through for me. She has pretty much planned this entire thing herself. Even when she tried to ask me questions, my answer was always, "I don't know; whatever you think is best." She's been  real trooper, so that is why she get a shout-out on my blog for everyone to see!

THANKS MOM!! I LOVE YOU AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN 4 DAYS!
